I don't know if anyone else uses the website/app, Goodreads, but I do. The site lets you set a reading challenge each year and I'm well past where I'm targeted to be for this time of year. So, I've decided I'll go and reread some of Meghan March's books. I've mentioned them before in previous post (Books, Books, & More Books) and leave my thoughts on them. I"ll do this for probably the rest of the Beneath Series and maybe a few more. This book, Beneath This Mask, is the first book in the suggested reading order of March's intertwined book series. It was also the first Meghan March book I ever read, and boy did this book set the bar high for the next ones.
I found this book on accident. It came up as one of my suggested reads on amazon. It was $0.00 and that's the kind of deal I like to see, so I quickly purchased it. The book is still available for this price and the link is here: https://www.amazon.com/Beneath-This-Mask-Meghan-March-ebook/dp/B00NQ1EVG4/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=3EPG3M91JMC1Y&keywords=beneath+this+mask+by+meghan+march&qid=1558537634&s=gateway&sprefix=beneath+this+mask%2Caps%2C150&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1 | Ironically, I purchased this book one year ago this month. The story for this book centers on two characters, Simon & Charlie. Without giving away spoilers, Charlie has a past that she's been trying to run away from for the past year. She ran to New Orleans and started up a new life there. Insert Simon coming into her place of work and decided he just had to get to know her. Simon pursues Charlie and continues to amaze her with his thoughtful actions. These two are adorable and really make me appreciate a well written love story. This book contains suspense, sex, and spark. Charlie and Simon go through their own troubles and you'll understand why if you read this book.
I'd recommend March's books to anyone looking for a great read and potentially finding their next book boyfriends or girlfriends. The book has other characters mentioned, Con & Vanessa, whose story continues on in the second Beneath book, Beneath this Ink. I've said it once and I'll say it again, I LOVE that all of Meghan's books tie together in some way. It makes it so much fun as the reader to be able to see connections and how other character lines don't just die off when their book(s) end.
Reminder: These posts are not sponsored. This is my own opinion and should not be a reflection of Meghan. I am merely writing, so others will see and learn more about Meghan March's books.
