Okay, so if you're looking for a blunt and some what crude man then this book is for you! I've read many of Meghan's books and this one definitely gets up there with the dominant bossy male leads. Creighton is great and full of territorial caveman tendencies. It'll be interesting to see how he's going to handle Holly. Holly is an up and coming country star who is just trying to make it big(ger). She has to pay her dues and earn her keep with her current record deal and it's tough. Insert a one night stand with a certain billionaire (Crey), great sex, and no names exchanged. Crey has gotten a taste of Holly and he wants more than just seconds; he wants the whole thing. He releases a missed connections ad, requesting that the one night stand girl come find him in a hotel room with an engagement ring and prenup waiting for her. Want to know more? Better go get book 1 😉
Holly & Crey never expected this marriage to last and neither did anyone else. Boy are they all in for a surprise. Married life can be tough and being a billionaire isn't easy, but then again, neither is trying to become the next hot country singer. Holly has her hands full trying to make it big and Crey wants to help her reach that, but can they find common ground? The struggle is real in this book. Holly gets her first taste of Creighton's world and she's not sure how she would fit into this lifestyle. Crey's feelings are growing stronger each day, but Holly is determined to not see them. She doesn't see how this marriage can last and her doubts shine in this book. I zoomed through this book, and of course Meghan leaves us with a cliff hanger. Not to worry, I had the third book already downloaded and ready to read.
Book 3, definitely hits your heart strings. Picking up where book 2 ended, you might be a little frustrated with Holly. Others might sympathize with her. I was a sympathizer the first time I read it. Second pass over though, and I'm ready for her to see all the love Crey wants her to have and I'm also wishing Crey wouldn't keep her in the dark about a certain secret business acquisition. Crey & Holly have decided to make this marriage real, decided it's "everything," and to work together as a team (FINALLY). Crey gets his first look at Holly's home town and what crafted her into the woman she is today. Of course, there is a twist that comes and the last 50 pages of this book will keep you on your toes. What happens when things don't go as planned and skeletons fall out of closets? What if those skeletons were ones you knew about? The ending of this series is fast paced and I loved every second of it!
The Dirty Billionaire Trilogy is a must read, but then again the majority of Meghan's books are must reads for me...so I guess I'm biased in that sense. If you like romance, music, and dominant men then give this series a try. Also, can we mention Cannon! He is Crey's best friend and business partner. I can't wait for Meghan's duet staring Cannon's story! Black Sheep (book 1) comes out in just a few weeks on audible first and then follows on kindle/paperback. I am SO pumped because re-reading this trilogy reminded me that I need to know more about Cannon. I'd also like to see a story about Tana and her hubby? Maybe that's on Meghan's list of ideas...who knows? 😉
Random Thought: Meghan has been known to let her fans know her inspirations for her books. She's a country music fan, so whenever I read this I always picture Holly with a Maren Morris type style/appearance. Not sure if that's what Meghan was going for, but it's what I picture.
